ASICS and Always Human unveil the new Wallabies 2023 Rugby World Cup Jersey

Nothing feels better than union as ASICS hosts launch event, together with Wallaby rugby stars, to reveal new jersey heading to France

ASICS, the true sports performance brand, together with Always Human, unveiled a giant replica of the highly anticipated ASICS Wallabies jersey, ahead of the September RWC in France.

With just over 2 months to go until the best players on the planet arrive in France, Always Human delivered the end-to-end PR and communications strategy for the new ASICS Wallabies jersey, as well as the production and management for the launch event which took place at Randwick Rugby Club’s Coogee Oval.

On hand to make the kit debut were some of Australia’s favourite Wallabies rugby stars, including co-captain Michael Hooper, and team mates Quade Cooper, Taniela Tupou, Angus Bell and Jordan Petaia, who were also joined on stage by Wallabies Coach, Eddie Jones.

The giant 30m by 24m ASICS jersey replica was held by excited rugby union fans, current Wallabies team members and the local schools to symbolise Wallabies fans coming together in union to support their team on the Wallabies Rugby World Cup journey.

Over 150 pieces of broadcast, print, online news and social coverage went live to celebrate the launch of the iconic gold jersey, with highlights including Stan Sports, Channel 10, The Daily Telegraph, The Australian, Sky Sports and Yahoo Sport.

Wallabies back and ASICS Ambassador Andrew Kellaway said:

A jersey is something that can really unite a nation and for me the 2023 Rugby World Cup is an instant classic.

ASICS put a lot of time and effort working with the players to make these jerseys ideal for performance which will be key for the team in France later this year.

It’s also really special for the players to be wearing the classic Wallaby gold at a World Cup again and I’m sure we’ll see plenty of supporters wearing gold in the stands as well.
