Talia Younis

Football

There are very few footballers who rewrite the record books before they turn 18. Talia Younis is one of them.

A rising midfielder for the Western Sydney Wanderers and CommBank Young Matildas, Talia has quickly established herself as one of the most exciting young talents in Australian football.

In October 2023, aged just 14 years old, Talia became the youngest player in A-League Women history, surpassing a record previously held by Australian football icon Sam Kerr.

Since making her senior debut, her rise has continued at pace. Now 17, Talia has already made more than 50 senior A-League Women appearances and become an important part of the Western Sydney Wanderers midfield.

Her standout 2025/26 season further cemented her growing reputation, with Talia claiming both Player of the Year and Members’ Player of the Year at the Western Sydney Wanderers Medal.

At international level, Talia has represented Australia through the CommBank Young Matildas pathway, continuing to develop as one of the country’s most promising emerging footballers.
