Ellyse Perry Announced as Newest Sanitarium ‘Weet-Bix Kid’
Today, Ellyse Perry has been announced as Sanitarium's newest ‘Weet-Bix Kid’. The multi-year deal brokered by Lampoon Group will see Ellyse as the face of iconic Australian heritage brand, Weet-Bix.
On welcoming Ellyse to the Weet Bix family, Helen Reiher – Sponsorship Manager, said:
“We’re excited to introduce our newest Weet-Bix Kid, and #1 ranked female One Day International (ODI) all-rounder in the world – Ellyse Perry! Kicking off the summer of Cricket, Weet-Bix is aiming to inspire the next generation of Weet-Bix kids. Backyards across Australia have always been full of kids emulating their cricketing heroes and now, with Ellyse Perry stepping into the crease as our newest Weet-Bix kid, they’ll know exactly the breakfast cereal that helps fuel her!”
Ellyse announced the news via Instagram saying:
“I’m very excited to join the Weet-Bix team and start my journey as an official Weet-Bix Kid! Ever since I first started training as a kid, Weet-Bix has helped get me through many early training sessions and has been a breakfast I can trust to give me a great start to the toughest of days. I’m excited for what’s to come!”
The multifaceted campaign will see Ellyse being used across TV, out of home, in-store, as well as in the form of a downloadable game for phones and tablets, where users will get to go one on one with both Ellyse and her counterpart, Marnus Labuschagne, in a game of back-yard cricket.
