ASICSTIGER relaunch 90’s cult classic shoe, GELSAGA
ASICSTIGER invites Sydney’s cool kids to celebrate the relaunch of the OG GELSAGA shoe.
ASICSTIGER have resurrected their ’91 GELSAGA in retro neon colourways. To celebrate the relaunch they threw the ultimate throwback party, at GOROS in Surry Hills.
Paying homage to the traditional Japanese heritage of the brand, mixed with retro 90’s gaming, the party consisted of games and fun, infused with good food and great entertainment.
Bringing together a variety of Sydney’s media, influencers, stylists and cool kids, the party delivered nostalgic throwbacks which united all.
DJ Mollie Rose had the dancefloor pumping, while the Gold Coast’s Team Cream hip hop crew delivered a killer surprise dance routine. Games machines offered ASICSTIGER prizes and guests were able to leave with their own 90’s keepsakes in the way of badges, wrist bands and snapback hats.
With over 170 guests in attendance, ASICSTIGER were able to deliver a party which was not to be missed. While the event sparked great fun, guests were also educated on the history of ASICSTIGER and able to get up close and personal with the GELSAGA shoe.
The 2018 take on the GELSAGA model includes three colourways, all of which are a nod to the retro neon colour palette that cemented this shoe as an iconic style in the ASICSTIGER heritage line, selling over 1 million pairs.
